Pregnancy is a magical time, the tools of yoga can help support and prepare the body for the journey. It is important that specific precautions are taking when practising yoga during pregnancy, especially as every woman's experience will be completely different from the next, and they will change on a daily basis.
We recommend that pregnant women should have 1-on-1 tuition during this time. We will build you your own custom plan, which will help strengthen and open the body. We provide customised programmes to suit each and every stage of your pregnancy. Our programmes can support you from before conception, all the way through your pregnancy and once you've had the baby.
If you are planning to get pregnant, this practice will help prepare your body for conception. Focusing on generating positive energy, to help create a wonderful environment for a new life.
Unless you regularly practice yoga, or have been advised by a doctor, it is recommended that you do not do any physical practice during this time. We focus on breathing techniques (pranayama) as well as meditation and Yoga Nidra.
For this phase of your pregnancy we focus on building strengthen within the lower part of your body, to help provide support for the extra weight from the baby. This will help reduce fatigue, as well as providing valuable power and strength.
Focusing on preparation for the birth, with lots of hip opening and breathing techniques to help you stay calm and relaxed.
During this busy period of your life, we provide you with some much needed time to yourself to relax, as well as some postures to help heal the body.
